The Be.Re. (Beauty and Resistance) Project, promoted by GIOSEF Italy in collaboration with the Agropoli Cooperative and the MaeditActio Cooperative, aims to highlight the beauty and resilience of the Agro Aversano through an ambitious digitalization project. This project seeks to ensure the sustainability of both tangible and intangible assets in the area, as well as attract more tourists—especially young people—to visit the territory and experience firsthand what it has to offer.
The project objectives are therefore in line with the overall goal of the call, which is “supporting the use of digital technology across the entire value chain,” as well as with the following specific objectives: using new technologies to make cultural content and the complexities related to the territory more accessible, also in terms of heritage perception and improving the quality of life through contemporary creativity; integrating active citizenship dynamics and inclusion within the realm of cultural access, particularly in marginalized areas; promoting the digital renewal of cultural institutions, fostering integration within collective dynamics and the inclusion of active citizenship in cultural access, especially in marginalized areas; supporting the advancement of technological maturity levels of the organizations involved in the project network through the experience itself.
The BE.RE. (Well-being and Resistance) project aims to enhance the cultural and social heritage of the Agro Aversano, a territory marked by organized crime but also a symbol of resistance and rebirth. Through the digitization of confiscated assets and places of significant historical and cultural value, the project promotes responsible tourism, raising awareness about the culture of legality and the fight against the mafia, with particular attention to young people. The goal is to make these places accessible to a national and international audience through innovative digital tools.
The project includes:
Purchase of PCs and tablets for coworking: To enhance the coworking activities at the “Il Paguro” Hostel, a set of technological devices will be purchased to support the educational, creative, and professional activities of young people, improving training and employment opportunities.
Interactive Web Portal: Creation of a digital platform with a 3D map and virtual tours to explore confiscated assets and tell the story of resistance in the area.
Interactive Documentary: A section of the portal will be dedicated to an interactive documentary on the history of the Casalesi Clan, using modern storytelling techniques to engage the audience.
Usability Testing: The platform will be tested with European youth, gathering feedback to improve the user experience.
Improvement of existing websites: Optimization of the confiscated properties’ websites with new multimedia content and enhancement of the booking system.
Awareness campaigns: Outreach activities at the local and European levels through social media and radio to raise awareness about the culture of legality and promote the project.
