SOUNDBEATS TIME PROJECT

SOUNDBEATS TIME PROJECT A OVERVIEW The project “SoundBeatsTime- SBT” is carried out by Yellow Shirts Association (Romania) in partnership with Giosef – Giovani Senza Frontiere (Italy) and the Institutul Roman de Educatie a Adultilor (Romania) and takes place from March 2021 to June 2023. The main goal of the SBT project is to provide young people with the skills necessary to gain financial benefits from the cultural sector, particularly the music industry, through a platform that offers various courses, materials, interviews, forums, discussions with experts, and much more. The context of this project is based on the need in this specific cultural sector to develop online tools and platforms to overcome the inability to carry out physical activities, as was the case with the Covid-19 pandemic. Looking more closely at the music field, Covid-19 created the “ideal” period for enrolling in specialization courses, research, reading, and personal development. However, after a brief search for music courses, it became clear that the results were quite low, and many of these courses were very expensive. Young musicians had the time but limited access to information due to the high costs. objectives Increase organizational capacity, strengthen this network, and provide youth workers in the consortium with tools and methodologies in the areas of the project (music production, online promotion, and entrepreneurship). Rete 3

Rete 3 Reinforce Education Training and Empowerment AN OVERVIEW The project addressed the general need of Giosef Italy and the branches of its national network to enhance the skills (knowledge, abilities, and attitudes) of its youth workers and to improve the quality of adult education methodologies in its areas of action through the exchange with similar organizations operating in different countries, experimenting with new approaches and techniques. In this way, training activities could be carried out to increase the quality of our actions in each of the organization’s areas of interest. The project title R.E.T.E. 3 encapsulates the development strategy to strengthen and replicate the project: we sought to Reinforce the areas of action of our organizations, promoting new methods of Education through specific training, in order to produce the Empowerment of the staff involved in the mobilities and of the entire network. OBJECTIVES The identified objectives of the project were: – Improving the management and internationalization of the NGO: This objective addressed the need to prepare local NGOs to better manage internationalization processes, from finding reliable partners to co-designing and evaluation. – Increasing digitalization skills for processes and activities: Digitalization has become a daily necessity, and it is essential that NGOs, as well as trainers and learners, are prepared for the new digital world. – Enhancing green skills for sustainable development: This objective aimed to bridge the training gap for NGO’s staff so that they can effectively respond to the needs of sustainable development holistically and continuously. Activities Two types of activities were implemented: 1) Training courses: they were blended mobilities, i.e. 1-2 days of online training and 3 days of on-site training. This allowed us to reduce costs, and also to get closer to one of the objectives of the project which concerns effective digitalisation. 2) Job shadowing: Around 20 days and served 2 of the 5 participants in the training activities to witness the practical application of the knowledge and skills acquired through the training in the context of the hosting organizations. Job shadowing, not as an alternative to more structured training pathways but in conjunction with them, represented an excellent opportunity to observe the work of colleagues abroad, build relationships, exchange experiences, and acquire new teaching and evaluation strategies.
