Mobility of youth workers
Agreement no. 2023-3-IT03-KA153-YOU-000172534

A OVERVIEW

Today’s youth are immersed in popular culture, with manga and anime being key pillars of this artistic expression. The project aims to leverage young people’s interest and familiarity with these art forms to engage them in authentic learning experiences. Using these means, the project promotes intercultural understanding, tolerance, and the development of social, communication, critical thinking, and creativity skills. The goal is to create a collaborative and inclusive environment that fosters a sense of belonging and responsibility.

PROJECT OBJECTIVES

  • Promote Non-Formal Learning: Provide diverse and engaging learning opportunities for young people through manga and anime.
  • Fostering Intercultural Understanding: Using manga and anime to explore different cultures and stimulate critical reflection and dialogue.
  • Encouraging Creativity: Inspire young people to express themselves through manga and anime-related activities, such as drawing and storytelling.
  • Promote inclusion and diversity: Raise awareness on these issues through anime and manga that address topics of inclusion and diversity.
  • Developing skills for youth workers: Provide youth workers with the tools and skills to use manga and anime effectively in their work with young people.

OUTPUT

  • Educational Resources: During the project, educational resources based on manga and anime will be developed. These materials will include guides, teaching activities, tools to facilitate youth engagement and encourage their creativity. The resources will be shared online, making them accessible to all youth professionals.

  • Training Material for Youth Workers: Training modules for youth workers will be created, focusing on the use of manga and anime as non-formal educational tools. These modules will help strengthen educators’ skills and promote an innovative approach to teaching and learning.

  • Dissemination Events: Dissemination events will be organised, both locally and internationally, to promote the results achieved by the project and raise awareness of the resources created. These events will also provide the opportunity to interact with other youth professionals and to disseminate best practices.

  • Online Platform: An online platform will be created to collect and disseminate all the educational resources, activities, and materials created during the project. It will be a space where youth professionals can find inspiration and tools to integrate manga and anime into their work with young people.

  • Active Youth Engagement: Through hands-on activities such as drawing, writing and storytelling, young people will be able to create content related to manga and anime, giving life to creative projects that will be presented during dissemination events.
