Plural identities populating the Mediterranean

OBJECTIVE

The project aimed to raise participants’ awareness of the plural identities that populate the Mediterranean and promote intercultural dialogue and social cohesion in this area.

The Training Course brought together youth workers, educators, youth leaders and trainers active in human rights education and intercultural learning in the Mediterranean youth sector, to improve skills, and to create innovative and efficient tools to promote identities, the feeling of belonging and the awareness of being Mediterranean citizens.

METHODOLOGY

This was a blended mobility project of online and one residential activity. The methodology of the activities was participant-centred, based on non-formal education, experiential and intercultural learning. The provision of information and reference documents were used to meet the participants’ learning preferences and the draft of the training objectives.

OUTPUTs

The project provided different outputs for each activity:

    • Local dissemination action after the Training Course.
    • Recommendation for Youth Workers

PROFILE OF PARTICIPANTS

The training course brought together youth workers, trainers, facilitators and educators, who:

  • Were active in the fields of youth, non-formal learning and human rights education, focusing on Mediterranean cooperation,
  • Were able to multiply the effect of the project in the local community.

There were 3 participants for each organisation.
