The “Capturing Voices” project was an Erasmus+ initiative that promoted the social inclusion of young people by using photography as a creative tool to raise awareness of important issues, such as fighting organised crime and promoting social justice. Located in the region of Casapesenna, Italy, the project brought together young people from different countries for a unique opportunity for cross-cultural exchange and hands-on learning.
The main objectives of the project are:
Promoting social inclusion through photography: Using art as a tool to engage youth in activities that foster a sense of belonging and mutual acceptance.
Fostering intercultural exchange: Presentation of a photo exhibition that allowed the participants to compare their experiences and visions, contributing to greater cross-cultural understanding.
Reducing the stigma associated with organized crime: Through photography and storytelling, the project addressed the issue of crime and promoted a deeper and more informed dialogue about the issue.
Youth Empowerment: Providing participants with tools and skills needed to become active citizens for social inclusion in their home countries by developing advocacy and leadership skills.
Promoting positive change in local and international communities: The creation of a network of young people committed in promoting social inclusion and justice, with a lasting impact on their local areas.
Digital campaign: A social media campaign involving young people aged 16 to 30, with the aim of raising awareness about social inclusion, photography and justice.

International Youth Exchange: An exchange that involved 20 young participants from various countries who explored photography as a tool to address the issues of social inclusion and justice. During the event, participants worked closely with experts and facilitators, gaining technical skills and cross-cultural knowledge.
Photo Exhibition: An exhibition that displayed photographs taken by participants, both local and international, exploring themes of social inclusion, legality and cultural reflections. The exhibition was open to the community at the ArteEspressa Cultural Center and online on instagram.
Dissemination activities: Each partner organization was responsible for disseminating project results through events, webinars, and digital materials, engaging a wider audience and raising awareness of social inclusion and justice issues.
